Angeles City- Regional Consultation and Forum on Achieving Adolescent Health and Development, that gathers more than 60 participants coming from the different Local Government Units, Partner Agencies and youth leaders of Central Luzon were able to formulate and draft a policy on Adolescent Health and Development that will be presented to the Regional Development Council. The draft policy was formulated by identifying (a) key issues facing the youth; (b) opportunities, enabling conditions and proposed strategies and policies which the government, other duty bearers and other stakeholders should further create and provide; and (c) the role of the Filipino youth as rights holders and duty bearers.

January 9-10, 2018. This 2-day activity comprise the Assessment of the POPCOM III staff using the Agency Competency Model and determined the development opportunities that would fill the training needs of the staff. Likewise, it included different orientations like the Rules Implementing the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees (Republic Act No. 6713), Personal Financial Management and the everyday office procedures as a head start of the trainings that was undertaken by the staff.
CENTRAL LUZON POPULATION PROJECTED TO 11,738, 148 BY END-2018

City of San Fernando, Pampanga – “Region III’s projected population will increase to 11,738, 148 as compared to last year’s population projection of 11,565,204, using the latest population census of 2015 (Philippine Statistics Authority)” according to Regional Director Eleanor M. Cura
A noticeable increase will also be among women of reproductive age (aged 15-49) at 3,094,950. By the end of 2018, Region III will have an increase of more than 40,000 from previous year’s projection of 3,054, 254. These women are usually beneficiaries of Reproductive Health services under the Responsible Parenthood and Reproductive Health law. Also with the increasing incidents of pregnancies among girls aged 10-14 years (542,417projected population), the number of women and girls of reproductive age would be 3, 637, 367 or 30.99%.
